progeCAD System Variables

progeCAD has hundreds of system variables that store the settings for various commands and functions. To see a complete listing of system variables, in the command bar, type setvar. Then type the system variable name to see the current value of that variable, or you can type ? to see the entire listing of system variables. Unless the variable is read-only, you can also change its value in the command bar. For variables that can be turned on or off, enter "1" or "On" to turn on the system variable, and enter "0" (zero) or "Off" to turn off the system variable.

3DCONVERSIONMODE Controls the conversion of lighting and materials.
3DDWFPREC Controls the precision of exported 3D DWF files.
3DLINESMOOTHING Turns on and off multi-sampling anti-aliasing for the display of entities in 3D visual styles.
3DORBITCTRSPHERESIZE Controls the size of the small orbit sphere that displays at the rotation point when using the Constrained Orbit (3DORBIT), Continuous Orbit (3DCORBIT), and Free Orbit (3DFORBIT) commands.

ACADLSPASDOC Determines whether the icad.lsp file is loaded for every .dwg file when it is opened.
ACADPREFIX Displays the search path stored by the SRCHPATH system variable.
ACADVER Stores the version number. Required for .dwg file compatibility only.
ACISLICENSE Stores whether ACIS is supported and available in the user interface.
ACISOUTVER Not implemented. Required for .dwg file compatibility only.
ACTRECPATH Sets the default path used to search for and store new action macros.
AECAUTOUPDATE Determines whether two-dimensional views update automatically when section lines or elevation lines change.

ANNOALLVISIBLE Determines the display of annotative entities that do not support the current scale.
ANNOAUTOSCALE Determines whether all annotative entities are assigned the current annotation scale automatically when it is set.
ANNOSCALELIMIT Determines the number of annotation scales that a drawing can have before a warning message displays.

APBOX Turns on and off the display of the aperture cursor when you use entity snaps.
APERTURE Sets the entity snap selection area in pixels.
APERTURECOLOR Controls the color of the entity snap selection box.
ARRAYASSOCIATIVITY Determines whether new arrays are created as a set of associative or independent entities.
ARRAYBLOCKNAME Stores the name of the array that is currently being edited.
ARRAYTYPE Determines what type of array is created by default when using the Array command.

CURRENTAFFINITYMASK Reports a bit code representing which CPUs are currently being used by progeCAD.
CURSORMODE Determines whether the cursor color changes when the cursor moves over entities or areas that have the same color.
CURSORSIZE Specifies the size of the crosshairs cursor display.
CURSORTYPE Determines how the pointer is displayed.
CUSTOMICONSPATH Stores the path used to locate user defined icons and bitmaps for custom menus.
CVPORT Sets the current viewport's identification number. To change the current viewport, the identification number specified must be for an active viewport.

DIMBLK Substitutes a user-specified block instead of the arrowheads for both ends of a dimension line. To reset the value of DIMBLK to the default, set it to a single period (".").
DIMBLK1 Substitutes a user-specified block instead of the arrowhead for the first end of the dimension line. To reset the value of DIMBLK1 to the default, set it to a single period (".").

DIMCEN Controls the display of center marks and center lines for circles and arcs. A value of 0 turns center marks and lines off.

DIMSTYLE Controls the ability for you to list the available dimension styles and apply a new style from those available.
DIMTAD Determines the vertical placement of dimension text in relation to the dimension line. The default value (0) centers the dimension text between the dimension lines. With other values, you can place the dimension text above or below the dimension line.
DIMTDEC Controls the ability for you to specify the number of decimal places to display tolerance values in a dimension.
DIMTFAC Specifies the scale factor used to calculate the text height of fractions and tolerance values of dimension text.
DIMTFILL Not implemented. Required for .dwg file compatibility only.
DIMTFILLCLR Not implemented. Required for .dwg file compatibility only.
DIMTIH Positions dimension text inside the extension lines either horizontally (on) or aligned with the dimension line (off).
DIMTIX Positions dimension text between extension lines.

DIMTMOVE Determines how dimension text is moved.

DIMTOL Appends plus and minus tolerance values to dimension text.
DIMTOLJ Not implemented.
DIMTP Specifies the maximum tolerance or upper limit value for dimension text.
DIMTSZ Determines the size of the oblique strokes drawn, replacing the arrowheads in linear, radius, and diameter dimensioning.
DIMTVP Sets the vertical position of dimension text relative to the dimension line.
DIMTXSTY Specifies a new value for the dimension text style.
DIMTXT Specifies the height of dimension text. If the current text has a fixed height, DIMTXT does not override this setting.
DIMTXTDIRECTION Determines the dimension text direction.
DIMTZIN Determines the suppression of leading and trailing zeros in tolerance values of dimensions.
DIMUNIT This system variable is no longer required; it is included for compatibility reasons only.
DIMUPT Controls the option for you to control the dimension line location only or both the dimension line location and the text position.
DIMZIN Determines the suppression of leading and trailing zeros in primary dimension text.
DISABLEDIGITALSIG Determines whether the digital signature feature is enabled in progeCAD.
DISPSILH Not implemented.
DISTANCE Saves the distance calculated by DIST.
DONUTID Specifies the default value for the inside diameter of a donut.
DONUTOD Specifies the default value for the outside diameter of a donut.
DRAGDETAIL Controls the level of detail that displays during dragging.
DRAGMODE Controls the display of entities as you drag them. When set to on, DRAGMODE displays an outline of the entities as you drag them.
DRAGMOVE Determines whether entities can be moved by dragging the mouse.
DRAGOPEN Inserts or opens a drawing file that has been dragged from the desktop onto the drawing area.

EDGEMODE Controls the cutting and boundary edge settings for the TRIM and EXTEND commands.
ELEVATION Stores the elevation value in the user coordinate system (UCS) for the active workspace (model or paper).
EMPTYWORKSPACE Stores the default workspace of the Start Page.
ENHANCEDGRIPS Controls whether a rubber band displays when moving extended grip points.
ENTTRACK Controls whether entity snap tracking is on or off.
ERRNO Stores the value of the last error.
ESPSTATE Reports the state of the Selection Filter pane.
ETRACKDELAY Sets the time delay for when entity tracking paths display (or hide) when the crosshair is over an entity snap marker.
EXPERT Limits the details of the prompts displayed in the command bar. The default value is 0 to display the most prompts. The most restrictive value is 5, which displays the simplest prompts.
EXPESCCLOSE Determines whether the progeCAD Explorer dialog box can be closed by pressing the ESC key.
EXPLAYERFILTERWIDTH Determines the width of the Filter pane when viewing layers in progeCAD Explorer.
EXPLEVEL Determines the user experience level. You can set the experience level to one of the following: 1 = beginner, 2 = intermediate, 3 = advanced.
EXPLMODE Determines whether the EXPLODE command explodes non-uniformly scaled blocks.
EXPLSTBLK Controls column width for the Blocks element settings in the progeCAD Explorer.
EXPLSTDS Controls column width for the Dimension Styles element settings in the progeCAD Explorer.
