Alias: DDEDIT, TEDIT

Modifies selected single-line, multiline, attribute definition, or dimension text entities.

Select an annotation object or [Mode]: Select the text entity you want to edit. Choose Mode and then Single or Multiple depending on how many text entities you want to edit.

If multiline text is selected, the Multiline Text editor displays.

If attribute definition text is selected, the Edit Attribute Definition dialog box displays. If the selected attribute definition text is in a block reference, the Attribute Editor displays.

If single-line text is selected, the Text dialog box displays. However, if TEXTED is set to 1, edit text at the command line, or if set to 2, edit the properties of text in the Properties pane.

If dimension text is selected, the Text dialog box displays. You can change the text characters, but not the format.
