Alias: DIV
Places markers (point entities or blocks) at equal intervals along a selected entity. The markers divide the entity equally into the specified number of segments.

Select entity to divide: Select a line, arc, circle, ellipse, polyline, or spline.
Number of segments or [Block]: Specify the number of segments by which you want the selected entity divided. The number of points that are placed along the selected entity is one less than the number of segments. To divide the entity using blocks, choose Block.
Points on the entity might not be visible immediately.
You can change the style and size of all points in the drawing. On the Drawing Settings - Entity Creation tab, choose Points. Or type ptype in the command bar.
To use blocks as division markers
To use a block as a division marker, the block must already exist.

Choose Block.
Name of block to insert: Specify the name of the block you want to use as division markers.
Align blocks with entity? [Yes/No]: To align the blocks with the entity being divided, choose Yes. This option places the x-axis of the block tangent to the entity. If you do not want the block aligned with the entity, choose No. This option aligns the blocks according to their normal orientation.
Number of segments: Specify the number of segments by which you want the entity divided. The number of blocks that are placed along the selected entity is one less than the number of segments.
