Displaying the Explorer
Displaying the Explorer
The Explorer opens in its own, separate palette or window, which you can move or resize. The Explorer has its own menu and tools.
To display the Explorer
Do one of the following to choose Explorer ():
On the ribbon, choose Tools > Explorer (in Explorer).
On the menu, choose Tools > Explorer > Explore Layers (or any other item).
On the Tools toolbar, click the Explorer tool.
Type explorer and then press Enter.
By default, the Explorer displays as a palette.
You can click the Show as Palettes tool to display the Explorer as a dialog box instead, which allows you to view the elements for each open drawing. The Explorer displays elements, such as layers, layer states, linetypes, etc., on the left and corresponding drawing settings on the right.
