Keyboard: IMPORT, or -IMPORT to run command line version

Alias: IMP

Displays the Import Drawing dialog box so you can import a .dgn, .dgnlib, .dae, .cel, .ifc, .rdl, .iges, .igs, .pdf, .shp, .step, .ste, .stp, .svg, .obj, .stl, .svg, .xls, or .xlsx file into the current drawing. You can also open another drawing file (.dwg, .dwt, .dwf, .dxf) in its own window in the current drawing session.

NOTE The Import command is different from both the Xref Manager command, in which you can view another drawing at the same time as the current drawing, and the Insert Block command, which inserts the imported drawing as a block.
