Keyboard: BREAKLINE

Draws a polyline that has a breakline symbol at a point that you specify.

Specify first point for breakline or [Block/Size/Extension]: To begin drawing a breakline, select the first point. To specify a different symbol for the breakline, choose Block, then enter the name of the block. To specify the size of the breakline symbol, choose Size. To specify the distance of lines that extend beyond the start and end points, choose Extension.

The value of the DIMSCALE system variable affects the size of the breakline symbol.

To draw a breakline

Specify first point for breakline or [Block/Size/Extension]: Select the first point.

Specify second point for breakline: Select the second point.

Specify location for break symbol <Midpoint>: Select the point on the breakline where you want the symbol or press Enter for the midpoint.

To specify a different block for the breakline

Specify first point for breakline or [Block/Size/Extension]: Choose Block.

Enter the block name for the breakline symbol <Brkline.dwg>: Enter the drawing file that contains the block, then press Enter. Note that the block should have two point entities located where you want the line to attach to it.
