Searches for text and optionally replaces it. You can search the entire drawing, the current layout, or selected entities.

DIALOG BOX OPTIONS

Find What Type or select the text to find.

Find Where Select where to search for text: the entire drawing, the current layout, or selected entities. If desired, click () to temporarily switch to the drawing and create a selection set.

Replace With Type or select the text to replace found text with (optional).

Results Displays a list of locations (model or layouts), text types and the found text entities.

Zoom Click to zoom to the selected found text in the drawing.

Highlight Click to create a selection set that includes the selected found text in model space or a single layout.

Highlight All Click to create a selection set that includes all found text in model space or a single layout.

Match Case Select to find only text that matches the upper and lower case specified in Find What.

Find Whole Words Only Select to find only whole words that match the text in Find What.

Use Wildcards Select to allow the use of wildcards in the search.

Search External References Select to include external references in the search.

Search Blocks Select to include blocks in the search.

Ignore Hidden Items Select to exclude hidden items (such as text on layers that are frozen or turned off, text in block attributes created in invisible mode) from the search.

Text Types Mark what types of text entities you want to include in the search:

• Block Attribute Value
• Dimension or Leader Text
• Single-line or Multiline Text
• Table Text
• Hyperlink
• Hyperlink Description

Replace Click to replace selected text in the Location list with text from Replace With.

Replace All Click to replace all matching text without searching first.

Find Next Click to find matching text.

Done Click when finished.
