Adds dimensions that are aligned to entities.

Enter to select entity <Origin of first extension line>: Specify the point for the first extension line, or to select an entity, press Enter.

To manually create the dimension line by selecting points

Specify the first point for the extension line (A). Specify the second point (B). Move the pointer to locate the dimension text (C).

Result.

Origin of second extension line: Specify the point for the second extension line.

To automatically create the dimension line by selecting an entity

Select the entity you want to dimension (A). Move the pointer to locate the dimension text (B).

Result.

Press Enter.

Select entity to dimension: Select the entity to which you want to add dimensions. The entity must be a line segment, circle, arc, or polyline.

Angle Text <Location of dimension line>: Specify two points to indicate the location and the angle of the dimension line. To specify the angle of the dimension text, choose Angle. To change the dimension text, choose Text.

To change the angle of the text

Choose Angle.

Angle of text: Enter the angle of rotation for the text included within the dimension.

Angle Text <Location of dimension line>: Specify the location of the dimension line. To change the angle of the text, choose Angle. To change the text included in the dimension, choose Text.

Choose Text.

Dimension text <3.6667>: The dimensions of the selected entity are displayed as the default setting. To change the text within the dimension line, type new text and then press Enter.

Angle Text <Location of dimension line>: Specify the location of the dimension line. To specify the angle of the text, choose Angle.
