Inserting a drawing as a block     

You can insert another drawing as a block into the current drawing. After you do this, the block name is added to the Block Name list in the Explorer. Changes made later to the inserted drawing will not be reflected in this drawing.    

To insert a drawing as a block

   1   Do one of the following to choose Explore Blocks ():     

    On the ribbon, choose Tools > Blocks (in Explorer).

    On the menu, choose Tools > Explorer > Explore Blocks.

    On the Explorer toolbar, click the Explore Blocks tool.

    Type expblocks and then press Enter.

   2   On the Explorer toolbar, click the Insert External File Block tool ().    

   3   In the Insert Block dialog box, select the drawing you want to insert, and then click Open.  

   4   In the drawing, specify the insertion point.

   5   Specify the x, y, and z scale factor and the rotation angle, or in the prompt box, select Done.

    6    To complete the command and return to your drawing, close the window.

The scale can easily be changed after insertion.
To change the scale of a block after insertion, choose Express Tools > Blocks > Block Scale. You can also change the position, scale, and rotation using the Properties pane.
