Inserts a MText with a field that can be updated automatically as the field value changes.

Dialog Box:

Field Category: Allows to show types of fields by Category.

Field Name: Lists the fields that for the selected category.

Format: Lists options for the selected Field.

Fields can be inserted in any kind of text except tolerances. The FIELDEVAL system variable and the UPDATEFIELD command determine how fields are updated.

You can insert a Field directly in the Text and MText dialog, by clicking the related button:
