Image Manager (command line version)

Keyboard: -IMAGE

Alias: -IM

Allows you to attach, modify, unload, reload, detach, change the path, and modify the settings of images using the command bar.

Enter image option ?/Detach/Path/Reload/Unload/<Attach>: To view the list of all images attached to the drawing, click ?. To delete an image from the drawing, choose Detach. To change the path for an image, choose Path. To restore an image, choose Reload. To unload an image so it no longer displays but is still attached, choose Unload. To attach an image to the drawing, choose Attach.

To attach a new image

Choose Attach.

Enter the name of the image file to be inserted: Enter an image filename, including its path, for example, c:\My Pictures\MyImage.jpg.

Insertion point <0.0,0.0,0.0>: Enter an insertion point or specify one on the screen.

Scale or [Unit] <1.0>: Enter the scale in drawing units as you want it to appear in the drawing or specify it on the screen.

Rotation in degrees <0.0>: Enter the number of degrees you want to rotate the image to the left. Zero degrees indicates no rotation.

To unload an image from the drawing

Choose Unload.

Enter list of images to unload: Enter the image filename, including its path, for example, c:\My Pictures\MyImage.jpg. Enter * to unload all images.

To reload an image into the drawing

Choose Reload.

Enter list of images to reload: Enter the image filename, including its path, for example, c:\My Pictures\MyImage.jpg. Enter * to reload all images.

To change the path for an image

Choose Path.

Enter list of images for path modification: Enter the image filename, including its path, for example, c:\My Pictures\MyImage.jpg. Enter * to change the path for all images.

Enter new path: Enter the new path for the images.

To delete an image from the drawing

Choose Detach.

Enter list of images to detach: Enter the image filename, including its path, for example, c:\My Pictures\MyImage.jpg. Enter * to delete all images.

To view the list of all images in the drawing

Choose ?.

Images to list <*>: Enter the image filename to view information about it. Enter * to view all images attached to the drawing.
