Group (command line version)

Alias: -G
Creates and edits groups of entities.
Enter group option [? to list/Order/Add/Remove/Ungroup/REName/Selectable/Create]: To display a list of groups defined in the drawing, choose ?. To reorder entities within a selected group, choose Order. To add entities to a group, choose Add and then select entities to add to the group. To remove entities from a group, choose Remove and then select entities that you want to remove from the group. To delete a group definition but retain the components of the group, choose Ungroup. To rename an existing group, choose REName. To specify whether selecting an entity in the group selects the entire group, choose Selectable and then Yes. To create a new group, choose Create.
To create a group
Choose Create.
Enter a group name or [? to list/(*) to create unnamed]: Enter a name for the new group that you want to create. To list names and descriptions of groups defined in the drawing, choose ?. To create a group without a name, choose *.
Enter description: Enter a description for the new group.
[FILter/?]/<Select entities>: Select entities that you want to include in the group, then press Enter. To view a list of all selection methods, choose ?. To filter the selection by properties, choose Filter.
To reorder entities in a group
Choose Order.
Enter a group name or [?] to list: Enter the name of the group that contains the entities you want to reorder.
Reverse order [Yes/No] <Yes>: To reverse the order of all entities within the group, choose Yes. To specify the number of entities or range of entities to reorder, choose No.
Remove from position: Enter the current position of the entity to reorder.
Place to position: Enter a new position for the selected entity. The range of numbers you can choose from is specified in parenthesis.
Number of entities: Enter the number of entities or range of entities to reorder. For example, if you are changing the order of only one entity, enter 1.
