Tool Palettes

Displays the Tool Palettes pane. The Tool Palettes pane contains the following:

Palettes Groups of tools organized vertically on the left of the pane. Click a palette to view its tools. Right-click the palette name for more options.

Tools Lists of commands and blocks organized in the middle of the pane. Click a tool or block to start it. Right-click a tool for more options:

  • Copy Copies the tool for pasting.
  • Cut Removes the tool and copies it for pasting.
  • Paste Inserts a previously copied or cut tool. Available only if a tool was previously copied or cut.
  • Insert Separator Inserts a line that appears horizontally on the palette to visually organize tools into groups. The separator is inserted above the selected tool. To delete the separator, right-click the separator and choose Delete.
  • Delete Removes the tool from the palette.
  • Rename Renames the tool. Enter a new name, then press Enter.
  • Image Opens the Tool Image dialog box so you can set the image that displays for the tool.
  • Properties Opens the Tool Properties dialog box so you can set properties for the tool.
  • Customize UI Opens the Customize User Interface dialog box so you can change settings for workspaces and customization files (.cui files).
  • Customize Tool Palettes Opens the Customize Tool Palettes dialog box so you can change tool palette groups, set the current group, and import and export tool palette files.

If the tool palette is undocked, click the Menu icon to see more options, including Transparency.
