Keyboard: HYPERLINK, or -HYPERLINK to run command line version

Shortcut: Ctrl+K

Allows you to include hyperlinks, which are pointers that take you to another location, such as a Web address or a file on a particular computer. You can attach a hyperlink to any entity in your drawing.

DIALOG BOX OPTIONS

Link to File or URL Enter the filename or URL for the hyperlink.

Browse Click to locate and select the desired file.

Remove Link Click to delete the hyperlink.

Use Relative Path for Hyperlink Mark to use a relative path for the hyperlink, which is helpful if you want to use a common path for all or most hyperlinks in the drawing. If you move files to a different folder, you can change the relative path once rather than changing them all individually. For details about specifying a relative path, see the HYPERLINKBASE system variable.

Hyperlink Base Enter the path to use for the relative base of the hyperlink. You can also click Browse to choose a folder, or click Relative to Current Drawing to make the hyperlink relative to the drawing file.

Named Location in File (Optional) Enter a named location in a file. For example, enter the HTML label of a specific location in an HTML file.

Hyperlink Description (Optional) Enter a description for the hyperlink. The description displays in the Entity Properties dialog box.
