Keyboard: ARRAYEDIT

Edits associative arrays. You can modify array properties, edit the source entity, change the number of array items, or replace them with other entities.

Select an array entity: Select the array entity that you want to edit.

The prompts that display vary depending on the type of array you select, and most editing options are the same as array creation options. To learn more about creating arrays, see Path Array, Polar Array, Rectangular Array.

The following options are available for editing all types of arrays.

To edit the array by modifying one of its items

Choose Source.

Select item in array: Select one of the items in the array and make changes to it. You can modify the item as you would modify any entity in the drawing, or you can create new entities to include them in the source array item. The changes you make to the selected item are applied to all items in the array. When you are done editing the source item, click Save Changes (if the ribbon is supported in your program version) or type ARRAYCLOSE in the command bar.

To edit the array by replacing its items with other entities

Choose Replace.

Select replacement items: Select new source entities to use as a replacement.

Select base point of replacement items: Specify a base point for placing each replacement entity in the array.

Select an item in the array to replace or [Source entities]: Select the array item that you want to replace with the new source entities. Continue selecting array items for replacement. Or choose Source entities to replace all array items with the new source entities.

To reverse modifications

Choose Reset. The edits made to the array will be reversed one by one.
