Cone (3D Solid)
()
Keyboard: CONE
IntermediateDraws a three-dimensional cone as an ACIS solid, with a circular or elliptical cone and a symmetrical or offset tip.
Elliptical <Center of base of cone> <value>: Specify the center point of the base of the cone. For a cone with an elliptical base, choose Elliptical. To specify the number of divisions (tessellation lines that define the surface of the cone), choose Divisions.
Diameter <Radius of base>: Enter the radius of the base of the cone, or specify a point to indicate the radius. To specify the diameter of the base, choose Diameter and then enter the diameter or specify two points.
Apex <Height of cone>: Enter the height of the cone, or select a point to indicate the height. For a cone with an offset top, choose Apex.
To draw a cone with an elliptical base
Choose Elliptical.
Center <First end of ellipse axis>: Specify the first end of an ellipse representing the base of the cone. This ellipse is drawn based on the length of one axis and the half-length of the second axis. To draw the elliptical base based on a center point and the endpoints of the minor and major axes, choose Center.
To draw a cone with an apex tip
Choose Apex.
Apex of cone: Specify a point for the apex (tip) of the cone.
