Clip Layout Viewport
Keyboard: VPCLIP
Clips layout viewports so that only a portion of the viewport is visible on a Layout tab.
Select viewport to clip: On a Layout tab, select the layout viewport you want to clip.
Select clipping entity or [Polygonal/Delete] <Polygonal>: To clip the selected layout viewport in the shape of an existing entity, choose Select or select the entity. To clip the selected layout viewport in a new shape of a rectangle or polygon, choose Polygonal. To remove clipping from the selected layout viewport, choose Delete (available only if the layout viewport is clipped).
To clip a layout viewport in the shape of an existing entity
Select an existing circle, ellipse, closed spline, closed polyline, or region.
To clip a layout viewport in the shape of a new polygon
Choose Polygonal.
Start of polyline: Define the first point of the clipping polygon.
Arc/Close/Distance/Follow/Halfwidth/Width/Undo/<Next point>: Define the second point of the clipping polygon.
Arc/Close/Distance/Follow/Halfwidth/Width/Undo/<Next point>: Define the third point of the clipping polygon or press Enter to complete the polygon. When finished, the selected layout viewport is clipped so that only the interior of the polygon is visible.
To remove clipping
Choose Delete. The layout viewport fully displays and the clipping boundary is deleted.
