Keyboard: PROJECTGEOMETRY
Creates a projection of lines, curves, or points on a three-dimensional solid, surface, or region using a direction you specify. You can project points, lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, 2D or 3D polylines, splines, and helices. The projection created on the surface of the three-dimensional entity can be moved and modified, and it can be automatically trimmed from the solid, surface, or region by choosing Auto Trim () or setting the SURFACEAUTOTRIM system variable to 1 before creating the projection.
Select curves, points to be projected or [PROjection direction]: Select the entities you want to project, and press Enter when done. To determine the method of projection, choose Projection Direction.
Select a surface, solid, or region for the target of the projection: Select the surface, solid, or region onto which you want the selected entities to be projected. Press Enter.
Specify the projection direction [View/Ucs/Points] <View>: To create a projection based on the current view, choose View. To create a projection along the z-axis of the current UCS, choose UCS. To create a projection along a path between two points, choose Points and then specify the start and end points of the path.
