Layers are used to organize and classify the objects of a drawing.
You can create and name a new layer for each homogeneous group of objects (for example walls, dimensions etc.) and then assign common properties to each layer.
The organization of objects into layers allows you to control the visibility and properties of a large number of entities separately for each layer and it's useful to make changes quickly.
Each new progeCAD drawing has a default layer named "0" that can't be deleted or renamed.
You can create an unlimited number of layers in every drawing and an unlimited number of objects for each layer.
